Comments: More emoness. I've been emo and cranky lately. The stuff in italics is taken from the song "Count Your Blessings," lyrics by Johnson Oatman, Jr.

Title: Daijobu
Genre: poem, wangst
Series: original
Comments: Emo for teh win. |D John, a guy at work, told me I should do a poem in Japanese when he heard I was doing Open Mic night last week. Whipped this up, although it's not entirely in Japanese, and it's emo, when anything dedicated to him should totally be funny because he's a nutjob. But yes.

Title: Original Sin
Genre: poem, wangst
Series: original
Comments: I wrote this a few days ago at, like, 3 in the morning while in a very self-hating mood (I always hate myself at 3 in the morning). I was contemplating why I sucked so much, and I started thinking about original sin. And then somehow this came around. Some lines still need a little work, but on the whole, I'm happy with it.

Title: none
Genre: Angst-ish? Epic poem....ish.
Series: The Aeneid
Comments: So I was at the Ahab cast party last night. Yeah, me and parties don't mix too well. But anyway. ALWAYS. So here it is, in all its short, crappy glory.

Title: God's in His Heaven
Genre: poetry
Series: original
Comments: Written this past Friday, when I was feeling very depressed and very bitter. Pretty permenantly incomplete as I rather loathe the piece, but I might play around with the idea again next time I'm bitter. It's an interesting idea....in a very bitter sort of way.

Title: Tactile Words
Genre: Poetry

Comments: I love words. No matter what language they're in or what they really mean, I simply love words for themselves. That's what this poem celebrates.

Title: Naumachia
Genre: Poetry
Series: original
Comments: I was a strange, strange child (still am), and this is a poem about the stuff I'd do while playing in the ocean. "Naumachia" is the latin word for mock sea battles and those who fought them.

Title: The Plight of the Domestic Dog
Genre: Angst
Series: none/original
Description: Written to vent my own angst, it turned into a study of how Poochy must have felt when we owned her. Added to my bad mood rather than eased it. Joy.
